Enjoy one of the most beautiful walking routes in Germany in the Nalbach village, just 3 km from the hotel!
The "Litermont-Gipfel-Tour" (Litermont-summit tour) is regarded as the most beautiful hiking tour in the Saarland being credited with “Germany’s most beautiful hiking route” title in 2007. Since then, the route has even been further upgraded and has been awarded a merit-worthy 84 event points by the German Association of Hiking, now ranking second in Germany.
With its length of 10 km the circular track can be completed within 3 to 4 hours including breaks by experienced hikers.

Saarlouis, which is only 7.5 km distant has given itself the name “Shopping paradise par excellence”. It offers all you can imagine ranging from clothes, books, and music to everything you need for your car, office or home.
If you go to the neighbouring Luxemburg you will find a completely new shopping world with products and many items you may find unavailable in Germany.

Excursions

Dillingen, inspired by its local steel industry, has emerged as a site well-renowned for its steel arts. This characteristic of the town is particularly captured by the erection of the “Viewpoint”, a steel sculpture created by the American artist-sculptor, Richard Serra. In fact, throughout the whole town centre you will find numerous steel sculptures created by other contemporary artists.

On the one hand, Dillingen is characterized by the steel industry (corporation of the Dillinger Hüttenwerke - steel works) and on the other hand by its location on the Saar river.
Dillingen is surrounded by numerous green hills and offers a number of interesting sights, such as the impoundment, Roman excavations, the Saardom cathedral, (the biggest church on the Saar river), the old castle as well as a variety of cultural facilities and ornamental water fountains. For those of you prefer physical exercise, the indoor and outdoor pools, ice skating ring, bowling alleys, fitness and a sauna oasis (3 km distance) will surely have something to offer for you.

Saarlouis 7 km
This former French fortress town invites you to take a stroll through its streets and to go shopping. There is a great feeling of French “savoir vivre” to be found here.

Saarschleife 20 km (Saar river loop)
The Montclair fortress sits enthroned above the Saar river loop.

Villeroy & Boch 20 km
This world famous porcelain manufacturer is located in Mettlach an der Saar.

Luxemburg 67 km
Only 67 km distant from Dillingen, the capital of the equally-named country is found and can be arrived at by road using the very convenient B51 connection. This capital with its longstanding traditions is definitely worth a day trip.

Merzig 20 km

Völklingen 20 km
The World Cultural Heritage “Völklinger Hütte” (former steel works) is very close to Dillingen. These closed down smelting works are now open for visitors (Dillinger steel works are still operation).

The capital of the federal state of Saarland is easily accessible via the motorway and has an abundance of neighbouring France’s “savoir vivre” on offer.

Homburg / Saar 39 km
This university town and district capital with a chequered history is located at the border of the Rheinland-Pfalz federal state.
